Because of its softness, Mexican pottery
is very fragile. In order to protect the items in
shipment, extra large boxes, additional cardboard
support and padding will be used. This extra protection
adds additional weight to the package which results
in increased shipping cost. Please note that I do
not ship large pottery items over 8 inches in size
anyhere outside the US.
Each item will have the weight listed, and this weight
includes the extra packing materials used. I have
had to increase the cost of shipping especially for
pottery as it was costing me far more than I was charging
to the buyer.
With the new shipping table, the rates for pottery
have been increased. Also, if an item is oversized,
the post office adds an additional charge.
Any excess postage charged to buyers will be refunded
to their Paypal account after the item is shipped.
I recently refunded $4.57, $1.44 and $3.43 to buyers
for excess postage. Just refunded $10.65 excess postage
for textile order. If you are making a purchase of
multiple items and want to know the actual postage
cost, I would be glad to compute the postage and send
you a Paypal invoice with the actual shipping amount
on it.
All packages will be shipped by USPS Parcel Post
which takes from 4 to 7 business days. If you purchase
multiple items, I am usually able to combine them
into one package which will reduce the overall shipping
costs.
